Today I’m sharing a quick cocktail recipe that’s perfect the season. The Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini is a popular cocktail tailored to the season. A lot of people consider it a dessert cocktail, which isn’t wrong. It can also a fun one to sip with friends over appetizers at a fun night out.

For this recipe I’m using a specialized espresso, but you can use regular espresso and coffee liqueur if that’s what you have on hand.

If you’re making this for a crowd, measure everything carefully and pour the drink into a pitcher. It makes it much easier to serve this way! If you’re just making these for you and a friend, pouring it straight from the cocktail shaker will suffice.

These are delicious on Halloween night, for a Thanksgiving celebration, or anytime duringthe holiday season. Cheers!

Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini

Makes: 2 cocktails

Prep: 5 minutes

A fall twist on the classic espresso martini, this cocktail combines rich espresso, pumpkin, maple and warm spice. It is creamy, festive and easy to shake together, making it a strong seasonal drink for entertaining or a holiday cocktail menu.

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces vodka

  • 2 ounces freshly brewed espresso, cooled

  • 2 ounces coffee liqueur

  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree

  • 1 ounce pure maple syrup

  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

  • Ice

  • Ground cinnamon, for garnish

  • 6 coffee beans, optional, for garnish

Directions

1. Prepare the glasses. Chill two martini glasses while you prepare the cocktail.

2. Add the ingredients. Add the vodka, cooled espresso, coffee liqueur, pumpkin puree, maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice to a cocktail shaker.

3. Add ice. Fill the shaker generously with ice.

4. Shake well. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds. This chills the drink and helps create the foamy top.

5. Strain. Double-strain evenly into the two chilled martini glasses.

6. Garnish. Lightly dust with cinnamon and garnish each cocktail with three coffee beans, if desired.
