Frozen Prickly Pear Margarita

Makes 1 margarita


2 oz blanco tequila (I use espalon) 1oz prickly pear syrup (plus additional for garnish)

1 oz fresh lime juice

1 oz cointreau Lime wheel, to garnish

salt, to garnish

  1. Fill your glass with ice to insure you're using the correct amount for blending.

  2. Add ice to your blender along with tequila, prickly pear syrup, lime juice and cointreau.

  3. Blend for 15-20 seconds or until smooth. Set aside.

  4. Using your lime wheel garnish, rub the flesh around the rim of your glass and then dip into kosher salt.

  5. Using some additional prickly pear syrup, swirl a few drops around the inside of your glass.

  6. Add the frozen margarita mixture and top with your lime wheel.

  7. Enjoy!
