This is one of those recipes I rarely make just for the family, but I love making when we entertain or I have to bring a potluck dish to a friend's house. Spinach and Artichoke Dip is rich and delicious and is a popular restaurant menu item that can easily be made at home.

I keep the preparation of this dip simple by using pre-prepared ingredients. For the artichokes I used canned artichoke hearts, or frozen artichoke hearts that have been thawed and patted dry. Similarly, I like to use frozen chopped spinach that has been thawed and squeezed dry. The most effective way I've ever found to squeeze spinach dry is with a potato ricer if you have one!

Once these main ingredients are prepared it is time to make the dip by stirring it all together to bake. I always tell people not to hold back when adding the seasonings. This dip should be strong and bold in every way and I like to be generous with the salt, pepper, and garlic.

Once the dip is baked and hot and bubbly, serve it with pita slices, toasted baguette rounds, or chopped vegetables. I like to put the dip in the middle of a pretty platter and surround it with all kinds of dipping options. It looks so pretty and makes it easy for everyone to enjoy.

I hope you love this classic Spinach and Artichoke Dip for your next gathering!
