Bacon Egg & Cheese Kone Kone

I can’t miss the opportunity to share how to make the yummiest bread kone breakfast sandwich! Truthfully, you can make this any time of day, but I find it to be a real favorite for brunch. I like to think that this is like making a diner platter in a sandwich.

The key to making this sandwich is assembling it right after you’ve cooked the eggs. You want the eggs to be piping hot and the bacon to be nice and crispy. The potatoes are also excellent, like homefries, and add great flavor and texture.

I like this make these bread kones for brunch on the weekends. They fill everyone up and are easy for the kids to eat while they watch a little television. I hope you enjoy this fun way to serve a bread kone – don't forget to serve it with hot sauce on the side!

Bacon Egg & Cheese Bread Kone

This delicious bread kone is an amazing new way to enjoy your favorite breakfast sandwich! Be sure to make any modifications you’d like, you can add spices, herbs, or a sprinkle of delicious cheese!

Makes 1 Kone

  • 1 ready-made bread cone (pre-baked)

  • 2 slices of precooked bacon (whole slices)

  • 2 large eggs (omelette style with American cheese)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Home fries (precooked and warm)

  • American cheese for the omelette

  • Chopped fresh chives or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions: 1. In a bowl, whisk the 2 large eggs and season with salt and pepper. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil or butter. Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet and let them cook for a moment. Place a slice of American cheese on top and, nce the cheese starts to melt, place the precooked bacon slices in the center. Fold the omelette over the bacon slices and let them cook for a minute or two until fully set. 2. Carefully place the bacon-stuffed omelettes inside the bread kone. 3. Add a generous portion of your precooked and warm home fries to the bread cone, around the omelettes. 4. If desired, garnish the cone with chopped fresh chives or parsley for added flavor and a pop of color.

Enjoy!
