Today I’m sharing a little treat I call the Baklava Sundae I sometimes make when I have a tray of Baklava ( at home. This is more a method than a recipe, but it’s too good not to share! We are always making ice cream treats at home and this one is a clear favorite. I also used it to serve it on the dessert menu at our Greek restaurant – it was oh so good!

To make this dessert you start with a big slice of baklava broken up in a bowl. Then you add a scoop of or two of your favorite vanilla ice cream and drizzle it with chocolate sauce. I can’t tell you how good this is, especially if you warm the baklava a little bit before adding the ice cream.

I recommend serving this to children, family, and friends whenever you have the chance. It will truly make their dessert dreams come true!


Makes 1

  • 1 slice prepared Baklava

  • Two scoops vanilla ice cream

  • Chocolate sauce

  • Add the baklava to a bowl and break it up a little bit with a fork.

  • Top the baklava with ice cream and drizzle it with chocolate sauce.
