Halloween Grazing Board

Today I’m sharing how to put together a delicious Halloween Grazing Board. It seemed really fun to make this time of year since we’re always looking for new ways to entertain in October. Grazing boards are super popular and you can’t go wrong giving one a holiday theme to match the season. I love making up new ways to present them and my kids begged me to do Halloween, so here we go!

As you’d expect, we like to use lots of orange and decorate with pumpkins in the fall. To that end, I make our grazing board look a lot like fall with pretty autumnal colors and some Halloween candy scattered throughout. If you want, you can use decorative leaves, pretty orange candy dishes, or even carve mini pumpkins to go more in-depth with the color scheme. Have fun with it!

The nice thing about grazing boards is once you get the hang of them you can swap out whatever cheeses, meats, or nibbles you want for something else you’d prefer. The key is sticking to the proper ratios so the board is nice and full. You want it to look abundant and have a good variety of flavors so there’s a good selection for your guests.

Watch this episode carefully if you’re new to making grazing boards. It will teach you everything you need to know so you have an easy time putting one together. Once you get started with these, you’ll be able to make them for all kinds of holidays and parties. They can be festive and fun at any time of the year. Be sure to start with a board that’s clean and food safe. Or, you can use a piece of butcher paper on a table, it works just as well.

Have a wonderful Halloween season and we hope you enjoy your grazing board!

Halloween Grazing Board

Creating a Halloween Grazing Board is a fun and visually appealing way to serve a variety of treats for your Halloween party. Here's a step-by-step guide to making one! Ingredients:

  • Brie cheese

  • Strawberry jam

  • Yellow cheddar cheese

  • Prosciutto

  • Raspberries

  • Blackberries

  • Salami

  • Sweet pumpkin candies

  • Chocolate-dipped figs

  • Crackers (assorted types)

  • Halloween Oreo cookies

  • Pepperoni

  • Reese's Pieces (or similar candy)

Instructions:

1. Prepare Your Board: Start with a large, flat serving platter or board as your base. You can use a wooden board, a charcuterie board, or any large, flat tray that you prefer.

2. Arrange the Cheeses: Cut the Brie cheese into wedges or cubes and place them on the board. Arrange slices or cubes of yellow cheddar cheese alongside the Brie.

3. Add Sweet and Savory Pairings: Place small bowls or ramekins on the board for the strawberry jam and honey, which can be drizzled over the cheeses.

4. Meats and Berries: Fold or roll the prosciutto and salami slices and position them around the board. Scatter raspberries and blackberries around to add a fresh and colorful touch.

5. Sweets and Treats: Add sweet pumpkin candies, chocolate-dipped figs, and Halloween Oreo cookies to the board. Space them out evenly for a visually appealing display.

6. Crackers and Bread: Arrange a variety of crackers around the board. You can use traditional water crackers, breadsticks, and any other favorite types of crackers you prefer.

7. Fill in the Gaps: Use small bowls or cups to hold Reese's Pieces, ensuring the board is filled with Halloween-themed candies.

8. Final Touches: For added Halloween charm, you can add a few plastic spiders or other themed decorations on the board.
