Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Board

This Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Board is the perfect savory appetizer to serve at your next party. It’s easy to make and super eye-catching.

They key to making any board appetizer is to begin with a very clean, smooth board. If your board has cracks or deep scratches, I recommend lining it with parchment paper. First, spread the cream cheese all over the board in a thick, even layer. I use regular cream cheese from the grocery store that’s been set at room temperature for an hour or so. Then, layer the rest of the ingredients on the board.

For this board I chose smoked salmon, chives, capers, and a dash of oil. You could also add dill, which is a common addition to a smoked salmon platter. Serve a plate of fresh sliced baguette rounds alongside the platter with a spreading knife. This way guests and dip in to the cheese and spread it on their baguette round to enjoy.

This fun way of a serving a classic appetizer is sure to get everyone talking. This will be a great recipe for the holiday season or anytime you are entertaining friends and family!

Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Board

This is a fun platter to make for a party. The presentation is stunning, and people can serve themselves exactly how much they’d like. This is a nice alternative to a charcuterie platter and is particularly good for brunch.

Makes 1 large board

  • 1 16-ounce container plain cream cheese, at room temperature

  • ¼ pound Smoked salmon

  • 2 tablespoons diced red onion

  • 2 tablespoons capers

  • 2 tablespoons minced chives

  • Olive oil

  • Baguette slices for serving

  1. Spread the cream cheese on a 6 x 10 board with all of the cream cheese

  2. Spread the smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese.

  3. Sprinkle the red onion on top, then the capers, and minced chives.

  4. Right before eating, drizzle a little olive oil over the top and serve with baguette slices
