Today I’m sharing a quick Blackberry Champagne Cocktail recipe that is ideal for New Year’s Eve. I love this pretty drink because it is lovely to look at and has a bright, effervescent flavor that is very celebratory.
To make this drink I begin with making a quick blackberry simple syrup. Blackberries can stain so be careful! The beauty of them is that their flavor and color really infuse the syrup very quickly. Then I add this beautiful syrup to my champagne and vodka cocktail and serve it with a blueberry garnish.
I love having a signature drink at events and this one is perfect for New Year’s Eve, or any occasion when you really want to celebrate something special. The color is so pretty and the flavor really pops on the palette. Cheers to 2022!
BLACKBERRY CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL
This festive and fun cocktail is infused with a fresh blackberry simple syrup. It’s a great way to add a twist to the traditional New Year’s Champagne toast!
Makes 1 cocktail
Blackberry Simple Syrup:
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
6 blackberries, cut in half
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce simple syrup
Champagne
To make the syrup: Add the ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring to make sure the sugar is dissolved. Allow the syrup to cool, then strain the mixture to remove the blackberry pieces.
Pour 1 ounce of vodka into a champagne glass. Add 1 ounce of the simple syrup and fill the rest of the glass with the Champagne. Cheers!
