It’s cocktail hour! You know how much I love to share great cocktail recipes here. As a professional event planner and hostess, I understand the importance of a good bar. When there are good beverages available for your guests everything else flows smoothly. This goes for parties both big and small, or at home or at a venue.
This is a cocktail I make in a pitcher so guests can serve themselves when they arrive. I like doing this sometimes because it is so much easier than making cocktails individually. If you do that you could get stuck behind the bar all night long! I came up with this because it’s a combination of the classic Moscow Mule and a Greyhound. It’s great for winter because the ginger beer is a warm flavor, but it’s not too heavy or sweet.
Using grapefruit juice instead of orange juice is the key with this drink. It gives the drink the citrus twist without the intense sweetness. I love the way it pairs with the spicy ginger; it is very lively and satisfying. This pairs really well with the rich finger foods usually found at wintery parties. For example, this pairs well with chicken wings, pigs in a blanket, and hot pretzels. Be sure to serve ice on the side so people can fill their cups before the pour their drink! I hope you enjoy this drink at your next event, your guests will love it. Cheer
This cocktail combines my favorite greyhound with a Moscow mule. I like making cocktails in a pitcher because they are so easy to serve when lots of people come over. I also find this drink delicious but refreshing because of the spritz of grapefruit.
