BAKED FETA With Tomatoes & Peppers

I like to joke that this Baked Feta with Tomato & Peppers appetizer could be the next TikTok craze. I’ve been making it for years and we used to serve this at our Greek restaurant. It’s a simple dish of feta baked with tomatoes, peppers, and seasonings. I make it in a pretty appetizer dish and then serve it with freshly grilled pita wedges. The feta is melted and spreadable and all the flavors meld together to make the most delicious bite.

As you can see, this easy appetizer features classic Greek flavors of oregano, tomato, and peppers with salty feta. It’s so simple almost anyone can make it and is a perfect dish for someone who is just learning how to cook. You can always amend it by adding any additional flavors you want. A pesto drizzle, crushed rosemary, or a sprinkle of red pepper would all taste amazing. Have fun with it and see what you can come up with!

When I’m entertaining, I like to serve this with a selection of my other dips (link) or even add it to a grazing table. It’s always really popular so I make there is a heap of fresh pita on the side with a knife for spreading it. There is very rarely any leftover. I suppose you could melt it into pasta like the TikTok craze that swept the country last year, but I’ve never tried it. I still prefer to serve it with pita, chips, or even vegetables as an accompaniment.

Make this baked feta your signature appetizer this year. It takes just minutes to pull together and is a true crowd pleaser. If you have any questions about how to make it simply leave a comment below and I’ll reply. Happy cooking from my home to yours! Enjoy!

BAKED FETA With Tomatoes & Peppers

This could be the next TikTok craze! It’s a great appetizer to please a crowd and is endlessly adaptable. I bake it in a pretty dish so it can right from the oven to the table. Serve with wedges of pita and have a butter knife handy so people can spread it on their bread and enjoy!

  • block of feta (approx. ½ pound)

  • tomato slices

  • green pepper slices

  • tablespoons of olive oil

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • pinch of black pepper

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • pinch of crushed red pepper

  • Fresh pita triangles for serving

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Layer the ingredients in a glass baking pan as follows: feta in the center, place the tomato slices and green pepper slices on top.

  3. Drizzle the feta with the olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano, and crushed red pepper.

  4. Bake it for about 25-30 minutes, or until the feta is soft and spreadable.

  5. Serve with the pita wedges and a knife for spreading!
