Keftedes + Greek Guacamole Bread Kone

I’m so pleased to introduce the Bread Kone. It’s a delicious savory bread that’s baked into the shape of a cone and flavored with sesame seeds. It’s ideal for sandwiches, salads, and even interesting desserts! In the coming months I’m going to share many ways you can use a bread kone in your kitchen

It is the perfect way to give salads and sandwiches a fresh twist. Also, the cone shape makes it easy to eat and ensures nothing will drip into your lap, no matter how much sauce you use!

Keftedes are one of my favorite Greek foods. In this recipe I make a sandwich using my homemade keftedes recipe and Greek guacamole. If you don’t make the keftedes at home you can easily use store-bought. The guacamole is delicious with the Greek flavors but, again, store-bought is fine if you don’t have time to make it from scratch. Enjoy!

Makes 2 kones

2 Bread Kones

6 pieces of Keftedes

4 tablespoons Greek Guacamole *** Greek Guacamole recipe link

Crumbled feta for sprinkling

  1. Place 3 keftedes on a skewer and grilled until cooked through. If they are pre-cooked, warm the keftedes until hot.

  2. Place 1 tablespoons of Greek Guacamole into the bottom of each cone. Add a skewer of keftedes to each kone, then top it with more guacamole and a sprinkle of feta cheese.

  3. Carefully remove the skewer before eating the sandwich!

  4. Enjoy!
